June 9, 2009 To Rob and Britney

Hey Rob and Britney,

How are you guys doing? I'm just doing some laundry right now. Tuesday is my P-Day just like yours Rob, I get the devotionals on mine as well. Thanks for writing me so quick, you were right, those first 3 days were pretty tough. Everything happened so fast that first day I was just kind of in a daze. the next two days were fine while I was at class but at night I would miss you all a Lot. I'm really glad you wrote, otherwise, I would have been the only Elder in the District without a letter yet! After I read your letter I felt a lot better about things. I know i'll be gone for two years and that is fine. My companions name is Elder Guynn. Pronounced like Gwinn. He is our District Leader. he seems like a really good guy but sometimes I feel like I can't get through to him. I told him yesterday that we need to do something to help bring the spirit into our companionship a bit more so we can push each other to be our best selves. I really love my district. They are another reason things are looking up for me. We have all sort have gotten used to each other, so like you said we can let our personalities show. There are a couple of goofballs, as I'm sure there is in every district but I love them.
The MTC is extremely crowded right now. They have held a lot of missionaries here because of the flu. They just sent out a group this morning of about 120 or so and another 100+ are leaving next week.
Russian is going as good as I guess I can expect. It's tough, especially now because we are trying to learn all the conjugation stuff and grammar and all that, but I enjoy learning it and our teachers are really awesome.
How is softball going? Britney, have you gotten any calls about piano? Is anything else fun going on? I get 30 minutes to email so I will write one family email.
I love you guys and pray for you. Thanks for all you've done for me and for being good examples. I'm really glad you did this before me Rob because I know it would be a lot harder to be the first. I can't wait to hear from you again. Take care

love,
Elder Geddes
