Our daughter Liz set me up on this blog and I am really inexperienced in these things so I am trying to learn something new. We thought it would be a good way to share Jess's mission experience with others who might be interested so we will see how it goes. They say we are never to old to learn new things so here goes.
Bob and I have been pretty busy since we dropped Jess off so that has helped me through the initial heartache. If I keep my mind occupied, time seems to fly, which is what I know will happen. I can't feel bad about his time away because I wouldn't have him be any other place. This being our second son to serve a mission, I know the growth that takes place that can't be accomplished any other way. I am grateful He has chosen to serve the Lord at such a young age and can already see the change beginning. This truely is a wonderful time in all our lives and I can only hope he sees some positive changes in us when he returns.

it sounds like jess is doing great. im glad you set up this blog it will be fun to track everything he is doing. we hope that you're holding up!
